Reverse Tire Size Finder

You want about 33 inches. We list real sizes that actually sit there — not a fake 273/61R20.

Try 33" on a 20" rim — 275/60R20 usually lands near the top of the list.

A diameter change moves ride height by half
+1"+0.5"originaltaller
  • The tire rests on the ground, so half of any diameter change goes downward and only the other half lifts the vehicle.
  • A diameter one inch larger raises the vehicle half an inch, and takes half an inch of fender clearance away.
  • That same change shifts the speedometer and revolutions per mile, because the tire covers more ground per turn.
  • Width is a separate problem: a wider tire can rub even when the diameter is perfect.

What it does

Inverts plus-sizing: given a target overall diameter (and optional rim), lists standard metric widths/aspects and common flotation sizes inside 3%, with 2% marked preferred.

How to use it

Type the height you want in inches (33, 35…). Optionally lock a rim diameter. Results sort by how close diameter is to the target.

How to read the result

The first number on a flotation size IS the diameter. A metric 275/60R20 is about 33". Closeness of diameter is not fitment: width, load index and brakes are separate checks.

What this does not calculate

Same ISO 4000-1 unloaded geometry as the other size tools. We search standard widths and common flotation sizes, not every rare mold. Brand availability is not in this list.

Does not check inventory, load index, speed rating, lift or fender clearance.

Questions

Is this the same as plus sizing?
Plus sizing starts from a tire you have and a new rim. This starts from a height you want. Both use the same 2%/3% diameter bands.
Why isn’t my favorite 35" size here?
If it is more than 3% off the number you typed, it is outside the band. Widen the target or leave the rim unlocked.
